A little nostalgia, with a side of grumpiness.

Meet Bert, everyone's favorite serious-minded, pigeon-loving character, captured in a colorful tribute to classic childhood toys and the familiar world of Sesame Street.

With his bright yellow face, signature unibrow, and lime-green outfit, Bert takes center stage in this playful original acrylic painting. A little brown telephone and a framed portrait of his beloved pigeon add the quirky details that make this character so memorable.

Bold colors, simplified shapes, and a contemporary folk-art approach give this small painting a fresh, graphic look while celebrating the nostalgic charm of the toys and television characters many of us grew up with in the 1970s.

Part of my When Toys Were Magic collection, this piece is a playful nod to childhood memories and the characters that have stayed with us.
